← Older: the miracle of life…
two of my best friends became parents on saturday. it’s so weird. i can’t imagine how they feel with this new life that has become …

i spent most of the day updating out wedding website. we had fun trying to come up with the “Dave recommends…” and “Kerri recommends…” sections …
a whole new kettlepot…
i finally got off my arse and redesigned kettlepot which, as it turns out, is a collection of websites that each have a purpose but all share a common look and feel.
www.kettlepot.com: as it was before, kettlepot.com is my photography website that uses pixelpost.
blog.kettlepot.com: same as before…wordpress blog, cleaned up and using the same format as the other sites. i added some additional information, such as books i am currently reading and some random photos from my flickr account (more on that below).
moblog.kettlepot.com: a new site for a project that i want to try, along with thousands of other people. moblog stands for mobile blog, and it will host pictures i take with my camera phone and send in to flickr. i want to try to send in at least one picture a day, which i am hoping should be pretty easy to do. it’s all tied in and automatic now, so all i have to do is send in the picture to flickr and a few minutes later it will show up on my moblog.
the first phase of all of this was to simply get my blog and photography sites looking the same, and in a clean format. it was fun creating templates for pixelpost and wordpress, and i hope visitors feel like all the sites flow nicely and appear to be one site.
i deleted everything from my flickr account and started putting back up pictures in a logical order. i’m also using my flickr account to feed the pictures for kerri’s site, so it’s really all coming together nicely.
next i have to put up some of the previous pictures i had on kettlepot, and maybe bring over some of my previous blog posts. i also need to get working on www.daveandkerri.com and at least one more of my sites.
i’m hoping that getting this stuff done will get me motivated to get back in to everything. with the growing responsibilities at work and the wedding planning, i definitely need an outlet. hopefully the new kettlepot will be just that.
