Today’s weekend excursion was to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to see the Real Pirates exhibit (which didn’t allow pictures). Their space discover exhibit, however,  did allow pictures, and Junior had a lot of fun running around to all the different equipment and pushing the buttons.

We spent the afternoon at the Denver Zoo. Later in the afternoon is definitely the time to go, with the animals coming out for their feedings and to enjoy the cooler temperatures. Here are some images from the day.

Best thing about the weekends is grabbing Junior and lazily handing out in bed.

A few random shots from last weekend…

We visited our friends this weekend on their farm, complete with horses, goats, birds, and, yes, spitting llama.

Me: Do llamas really spit?

Friend: Yeah, but you don’t have to worry about that. Let’s go see them.

No more than maybe 5 minutes later, I found myself at the receiving end of the most noxious, foul-smelling expectorant, more so than I would have thought possible. I was the victim of a walk by spitting.
